Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup 2017

The first edition of Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup was held in Bangladesh on 2015 and now they are going to host it again in 2017.

This is a club level competition with high prize reward for both winners and participants.

On the first edition, there were 8 teams from 5 different countries but this time there are 8 clubs from 6 different nations. Clubs from 6 Nations will participate 3 Clubs from Bangladesh, 1 Club each from Nepal, South Korea, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The host of this tournament is Chittagong Abahani and in association with the Bangladesh Football Federation. Tournament starts from 18th February 2018. Rules are top two clubs from both groups will advance to semi-finals.

Match Reviews

First Day: Group A Match on 18th February 2017, FC Pocheon vs FC Alga Bishkek ended in 2 – 0 win for Korean Team. While the second match of the game was between T.C. Club Vs Dhaka Abahani. This match ended 1 – 0 in T.C. Sports Club favour.

Second Day: Group B Match on 19th February 2017, MMC won 2 – 0 against MSC in their first match. Later, Chittagong Abahani Ltd successfully managed to defeat APL.Shaheen Asmayee FC 3 – 1.

Third Day: Group A Match on 20th February 2017, Abahani Limited Dhaka drew their match against South Korean Pocheon Citizen FC. Later, TC Sports Club secured their second win against FC Alga with 2 – 1 win.

Fourth Day: Manang Marshyangdi Club Vs Shaheen Asmayee F.C. ended in Afghanistan Club favour with 3 – 1 win. Later in the second game of the day, two Bangladeshi clashes end in a draw. Group B is now wide open all the club has a chance to advance in the semi-final, all they need is win.

Fifth Day: Today on 23rd Feb 2017, Maldives club TC sports goes undefeated and enters the semi-finals as a group winner. While the other club Pocheon Citizen is also undefeated and advance to semi-finals as runner-up. This makes no room for ABAHANI LTD, DHAKA.

Sixth Day: This game will be on 24th February 2017, MMC lost their 2 goals lead against Chittagong Abahani but still managed to enter in the semi-finals.
